How are you today? On top form, I hope. Or are you getting a bit bogged down with the problems of everyday life? That can be very debilitating, but perhaps you are an optimist who only sees them as a challenge and tries to grow from them? I try very hard to be the latter, I really do, but it would be lovely to have a break from them sometimes, don’t you agree? I find that there always seems to be a family matter to attend to, in one way or another, but hey, at least I have a family with whom I am constantly in touch and whom I love enormously, so that’s a huge plus! One day we’ll be able to have a holiday ourselves, but where shall we go? I have travelled widely as I used to be an air stewardess on 747s, and Robin has travelled a lot too, but I can honestly say that our little beach hotel in Koh Samui ticks all the boxes, pardon the cliché, for a relaxing holiday with excellent service, excellent views and excellent restaurants just a saunter away.
For those of you who don’t know, we have eighteen assorted rooms right at the beach with a stunning view of the sea and outlying islands which would be worthy of a James Bond movie. We have a great breakfast, cooked to order, and served until 11am so you don’t have to rush up in the mornings, a varied menu of Thai and European all day, a 12 x 6m saline swimming pool surrounded by very comfortable chairs and footstools of which there are more in the mature gardens, an outside bar which only closes during the sleeping hours, rooms which are cleaned on a daily basis and decorated twice a year, staff and management who do their best to make your stay unforgettable and all at the peaceful end of the delightful Fisherman’s Village in Bophut which has those excellent restaurants together with superb spas, bars and boutiques for you to visit again and again. It has a fantastic Friday Walking Street every week too which is very popular indeed.
Paul & Jan, Ruth & Mike and Patrick, this time with his new wife, Kim, returned to see us again which was fantastic. They all enjoyed their stay, just as much as before, and we are really pleased. Alan, an old UK working associate of Robin, came with his partner, Irene, to stay and to see what we had done here. They also loved it.
I have mentioned Margaret recently. Margaret lost her lovely husband, Michael, earlier this year and they had been to stay with us for many years, so we were really upset for her. I was so pleased that I was able to pop and see her last month and now, even better news. Margaret is coming to stay for five weeks early next year, so she’ll be able to see all those friends who also return at the same time on a yearly basis! I think she is fantastic and I know that all those friends and the staff will be very excited to see her. Well done, Margaret!
I think you may have realised that guests become friends, not only our friends, but friends with each other. There’s a really special ambience at our little hotel which heightens when guests socialise with one other, but you don’t have to, of course, and you would never feel under pressure to do so.
If you think you would like to join us, send Robin your prospective dates on firstname.lastname@example.org or book direct on our Book Now page, not forgetting to pop in the promotional code if it’s within the Spring or Autumn promotion dates. Robin will write straight back and answer any questions you may have too.
Many guests say, ‘if only we had found this earlier’ or ‘we’re definitely coming back as soon as possible’ or ‘we have friends who would love this too’ or ‘I always worried about holidaying alone, but shall never have to again’ . . . so, may I ask you to tell your friends or, if you’re reading this on Facebook, to click on the ‘share’ button? That would be fantastic.
Until the next time, take good care of yourselves. And come to see us soon.
Very best wishes
